Differences between magical and non-magical user classes.

Sorcerers: Sorcerers are born with “unleashed” magic and use spells to access their powers. While many of them can use magic more freely, starting with telekinesis and learning spells, they cannot use runes on their bodies as their magic would not accept such magical tattoos. Very few of them can use natural elements; those who have attempted it have either died, gone insane, or been left with permanent scars. Mastering control over an element is extremely difficult and dangerous, even powerful sorcerers can harm themselves, die, or go insane while attempting it.

Mages: Mages are born with magic “contained” within their bodies. By “contained,” I mean that their magic encompasses more of their own bodies than the external world. They can use specific spells designed for mages but need runes to channel their powers accurately and control their magic. They cannot manipulate elements or cast curses, but they can cast some spells.

Elementals: Elementals are born with mastery over an element, as well as enhanced senses, strength, speed, and other physical attributes that are far superior to those of an average human. They cannot have runes permanently engraved on their bodies as it would kill them, and they cannot use magic like sorcerers and witches.

Metamorphs: Metamorphs can camouflage themselves and adapt to their environment. They can also survive in extreme climates and withstand both heat and fire, as well as cold and ice. However, they are not invincible, and their skins are not indestructible. They cannot cast spells or use runes, let alone curses.

Witches: Witches acquire the gift of magic through blood sacrifice and aligning themselves with a dark patron. They learn to use spells from ancient books passed down by their ancestors and can cast curses and sometimes have the ability to see into the future, although the gift of foresight is rare and specific to each witch. They cannot use runes or control elements, but they can use various spells just like a sorcerer. The difference is that witches can curse and see the future, while sorcerers cannot.
